About WBE Canada
Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada) is a Canadian non-profit organization that is opening doors for Canadian women-owned businesses to supply chains across Canada, North America and globally. We are committed to promoting supplier inclusion. We provide certification to Canadian companies that are majority-owned, managed and operated by women. Through our network, we connect these businesses with corporate and government buying opportunities, while also providing them with the resources and knowledge they need to conduct transactions with organizations.
As a Certification Coordinator, you will be responsible for working closely with the WBE Community to ensure smooth and timely transitions of newly and re-certified WBEs into the community. Reporting to the Director of Certification & Community, the Certification Coordinator is an integral part of the WBE Canada certification process.
About the Role:
12 month Mat leave contract
As a key member of our Certification team, you will:
- Support the certification application process beginning to end, ensuring that all tasks and inquiries are resolved in a timely manner
- Review all applications and documentation Initiate and support site visits with all applicants
- Coordinate and document all emails within certification
- Collaborate with the Director of Certification & Community Responsible for following policy in the preparation and presentation of new applications to the Certification team
- Maintain WBE Canada Database management system, ensuring the integrity and accurateness of data
- Provide support during the National Conference as needed
Look for continuous improvement by consistently researching and identifying new processes
Support CEO & Director of Certification & Community when needed
- Assist in all other tasks as required
What you bring to the table:
- Advanced knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat
- Ability to coordinate and schedule internal and external meetings and appointments
- Customer service focus with exceptional communication skills including verbal, written, digital and presentation skills
- Time management skills and the ability to prioritize work effectively to meet tight deadlines and adapt to changing workload demands
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment.
