Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Pizza Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and a strong understanding of food safety and handling practices. As a Pizza Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious pizzas that meet our high standards of quality and taste, while also contributing to a positive experience for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook pizzas according to recipes and customer specifications.
  • Prepare toppings, sauces, and other ingredients.
  • Operate ovens, dough mixers, and other kitchen equipment safely.
  • Ensure food quality, presentation, and portion control.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Greet customers and take orders in person and over the phone.
  • Operate POS (point-of-sale) system accurately to process payments (cash, card, and online orders).
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
  • Package takeout and delivery orders correctly and promptly.
  • Keep kitchen and front counter clean, organized, and stocked.
  • Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, and dispose of trash regularly.
  • Follow closing and opening procedures as assigned.
  • Work effectively with team members during busy periods.
  • Communicate clearly with kitchen and delivery staff.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are preferable for occasional deliveries.
  • Valid Food Handler Certification (or willing to obtain before starting).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Passion for cooking and creating high-quality meals.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
