**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Create and design a pizza menu consisting of 4-5 different pizzas.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Prepare and cook pizza on a wood fired oven
- Oversee kitchen staff and assist with training new team members in food handling and preparation techniques.
- Manage inventory of kitchen supplies and ingredients, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and seasonal specials.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure optimal food quality.
- Assist in meal preparation for special events or catering services as needed.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Chef or Cook in the food industry, preferably with pizza making experience.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A passion for cooking and creativity in meal presentation is highly desirable.

- The start date is listed for May 1st. This is a flexible start date, but the sooner an applicant can begin work the better
- The job is listed as seasonable for 8 months. If this venture is as successful as we hope it can be our expectation is to extend the contract beyond that time frame.
- Work schedule will typically be Wednesday - Sunday during the day with some shifts going into the night on weekends.
- Tips are shared equally by hours worked across all service staff. This includes servers, bartenders, and the kitchen staff.
- Cox Creek Cellars is located on a 55 acre farm between Guelph and Fergus. There is no public transit to our location. We highly recommend applicants have their own vehicle.

Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 45 per week
