Procurement Officer, Purchasing Agent

The
Strategic Procurement Officer
oversees the supply chain procurement process, ensuring efficient acquisition of goods and services while adhering to policies and budgets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Procurement Management: Oversee the full procurement process, ensuring compliance with policies
  • Supplier Management: Build relationships with suppliers, negotiate terms, and resolve issues
  • Order Processing: Review and approve purchase orders for accuracy
  • Cost Negotiation: Assist in negotiating pricing and delivery terms
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control to ensure standards are met
  • Reporting: Generate reports on purchasing activities and KPIs
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with other departments to align procurement activities

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 to 4 years of Supply Chain Management
  • Associates or Certification in Business or Supply Chain Management preferred
  • Proven experience in procurement, with at least some experience in supervising and
  • leading processes
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, negotiation techniques, and supply
  • chain management.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and
  • sometimes under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve procurement issues and come up with effective solutions to
  • meet deadlines needed
  • Ability to set and adjust priorities based on urgency of requests
  • Proficiency in using software and data entry
