Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical environment, ensuring efficient operations and excellent patient service. This role requires proficiency Accuro medical software system, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in compliance with privacy regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage front desk operations, including greeting patients and handling multi-line phone systems with professionalism and courtesy.
  • Schedule patient appointments and manage the clinic calendar efficiently.
  • Perform insurance verification and assist with medical billing processes, ensuring accuracy in documentation.
  • Maintain patient records by reviewing documentation for completeness and compliance with medical standards.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) - Accuro- manage patient information effectively.
  • Assist in the collection of payments and manage medical collections as needed.
  • Provide clerical support including filing, typing, and managing correspondence related to patient care.
  • Foster a positive patient experience through excellent customer service and effective communication skills.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a medical office or clinic setting is required
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask effectively in a busy environment.
