Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing baked goods and other food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for customer transactions and cash handling
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service, including serving customers and answering inquiries
  • Manage cashiering duties with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, adhering to food safety standards
  • Restock supplies and ensure the bakery displays are attractive and organized
  • Upsell bakery products to enhance sales and customer satisfaction
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently
  • Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed
  • Ensure all food handling procedures comply with sanitation and safety regulations

Skills

  • Experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient cashiering
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during busy periods
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper sanitation procedures
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is a plus
  • Ability to upsell products naturally to increase sales opportunities
