Jeju is seeking an experienced and thoughtful Head Chef to lead our kitchen team. This role is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations while maintaining the quality, consistency, and culture that define Jeju.
The ideal candidate is a calm and confident leader who values teamwork, precision, and long-term growth. You will work closely with ownership to execute our culinary vision while building a respectful, organized, and sustainable kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all day-to-day kitchen operations
- Maintain consistent food quality, execution, and presentation
- Train, mentor, and develop BOH staff
- Oversee scheduling, prep planning, and service execution
- Ensure food safety, sanitation, and health standards are met
- Manage ordering, inventory, and food cost control
- Collaborate with ownership on menu development and seasonal updates
- Foster a positive, professional, and respectful kitchen culture
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to lead a team calmly and effectively in a fast-paced environment
- High standards for food quality, cleanliness, and organization
- Experience with inventory management, food costing, and ordering
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
