Practicum & Placement Coordinator

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Practicum & Placement Coordinator
to manage student practicum and industry placement processes. This role ensures students secure appropriate practicum sites, meet program and regulatory requirements, and receive support throughout their placement journey. The Coordinator also builds strong relationships with employer partners to maintain a healthy practicum pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

1. Practicum & Placement Coordination

  • Manage end-to-end practicum and placement processes for assigned programs.
  • Verify student eligibility (attendance, grades, documents).
  • Match students to suitable practicum sites based on program needs.
  • Prepare practicum agreements, MOUs, and regulatory documents.
  • Monitor attendance, evaluations, and completion of practicum hours.

2. Employer & Industry Partner Relations

  • Maintain and grow relationships with employer partners.
  • Source new practicum sites through outreach and networking.
  • Maintain an updated employer and placement database.
  • Conduct site visits when needed.

3. Student Support & Guidance

  • Orient students on practicum expectations and guidelines.
  • Support with resumes, cover letters, and interviews (as needed).
  • Conduct weekly check-ins and address placement issues.

4. Documentation & Compliance

  • Ensure all practicum documentation meets regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Track hours, evaluations, and completion forms.
  • Prepare practicum and placement status reports.
  • Maintain accurate records in the CRM or student management system.

5. Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with Academics, Student Services, and Finance.
  • Coordinate with instructors to monitor student performance.
  • Provide updates during team meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in coordination, HR, student services, or similar roles.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
  • Experience with CRM or student information systems (preferred).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in education, college operations, or career services.
  • Knowledge of practicum regulations for private career colleges.
  • Strong networking and employer engagement skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive student issues with professionalism.
