Established in 1979, Toro Aluminum has become a leader in the development and manufacturing of window walls and doors for high-rise condominiums, office buildings and hotels, across Canada, the United States, and Mexico.

Commdoor Aluminum, a company within the Toro Aluminum group, is a supplier of Commercial Doors, Frames and stock aluminum extrusions to the construction industry.

REPORTING

The Shipping Customer Service Representative reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager of Commdoor Aluminum. Also, they will work closely with the Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor.

JOB DUTIES

Customer Service

  • Acknowledge and respond to all customer inquiries within 1 business day
  • Investigate / troubleshoot customer service issues as required
  • Respond to customer scheduling questions and liaise with internal departments to monitor order status
  • Update customer about status and confirm delivery/pick-up dates of their orders. Communicate to customer any changes or delays to ship dates
  • Co-ordinate with other departments to review / clarify status of orders
  • Coordinate with the Purchasing department regarding custom hardware purchases
  • Review / correct customer hardware schedules for custom door / custom hardware fabrication orders
  • Track old orders in the system and follow up with customers and if necessary, remove / delete from the system
  • Work with Customer Service and other departments to establish root causes for order errors and develop permanent countermeasures to prevent reoccurrence

Shipping

  • Communicate shipment shortages to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • Manager and process shipping documents such as Pick Lists and Packing Slips.
  • Provide all documents of shipped orders to AR for invoicing.

Other

  • Assist with inventory
  • Attend meetings where required
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years Customer Service and Order Management experience in a Manufacturing organization
  • Ability to understand technical information.
  • Excellent organization, time management, problem solving and communication skills.
  • Team player with a "can do" attitude.
  • Professional demeanor and appropriate business etiquette.
  • Strong computer knowledge in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • COMPENSATION: $50, $75,000.00 per annum
