Job Type: Full-Time, Part-Time

Compensation: Starting at $20/hour depending on experience

Welcome to Woodland Veterinary Clinic a new, independently owned veterinary clinic designed with warmth, compassion, and community in mind. We're currently seeking a Veterinary Office Assistant (VOA) to support our medical team and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes.

Job Summary:

As a VOA, you are a critical part of the clinic's daily operations. You will assist in both administrative and patient-care duties, supporting technicians and veterinarians in delivering excellent care for pets and clients. From prepping exam rooms to comforting nervous pets, your role helps ensure the clinic operates smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with animal handling, restraint, and general patient comfort
  • Prepare exam rooms and maintain cleanliness throughout the clinic
  • Support inventory control and restocking of supplies
  • Process lab samples and prepare diagnostic materials
  • Sanitize equipment and work areas according to infection control protocols
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and client communication
  • Provide support to RVTs and veterinarians during procedures as needed

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a Veterinary Office Assistant certificate program is preferred
  • Prior experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is a strong asset
  • Confidence in handling dogs and cats. Fear-Free handling certificate is an asset
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm in a busy, fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented and eager to learn new skills
