As a fear free practice, the certification of Fear-Free is an asset.Responsibilities-> We are currently looking for a candidate who can flow between veterinary care and receptionist roles.- Greet clients and their pets with a friendly and welcoming demeanor- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk- Maintain accurate records of patient information and medical histories- Handle payments, invoices, and insurance claims- Keep the reception area clean and organized- You will be expected to answer a multi-phone phone line and assist clients with questions in a professional manner.- Assist veterinarians and technicians with various tasks as needed- Sterilizing equipment and regularly cleaning examination areas.- Handling and soothing animals during examinations, treatments, and vaccinations.- Recording relevant information about animals, including weight and types of medication given.Who we're looking forPrevious experience in a customer service or administrative role is needed. Previous experience working in animal care is preferred. Once proficiently trained the position will require 3 or 4 reception shifts and 1 or 2 technician assistant shifts per week. Strong teamwork skill and compassion to animal cares. Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus but will be trained. Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with office software Attention to detail and strong organizational skills- MOST IMPORTANTLY, we're looking for a fun outgoing person to work with who equally wants to continuously gain veterinary knowledge and creating amazing client and patient experiences.This position offers a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about animal care and want to work in a veterinary setting to start.
