We are currently seeking an experienced Inventory Supervisor to report to the Planning and Inventory Manager and to lead a team of dedicated Material Handlers. You are passionate about mentoring and helping individuals grow and you have had previous success driving process improvement initiatives. The Inventory Supervisor will foster open communication and a collaborative workplace and must be flexible and prepared to work in a fast-paced environment.

As the Inventory Supervisor, you will collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA), Planning, Purchasing, Engineering, and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams. You will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing inventory operations while leading a team of material handlers to ensure seamless execution of daily and weekly tasks.

Please note, this opportunity is an onsite work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

What You'll Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and lead a team of material handlers, ensuring the prioritization and scheduling of daily and weekly tasks.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, propose development plans, and oversee compensation reviews to foster continuous growth and improvement.
  • Monitor inventory processes to ensure optimal material flow and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Track and analyze inventory metrics, investigate variances, and implement corrective and preventive actions when required.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain effective inventory systems aligned with industry best practices.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for inventory-related actions associated with Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Assist with inventory containment activities, including verification and segregation of impacted materials.
  • Ensure adherence to all health and safety requirements, fostering a safe and compliant workplace environment.
  • Train and mentor Inventory team members on material handling procedures, inventory control processes, and best practices.
  • Lead by example, providing hands-on support and performing inventory tasks when necessary to maintain operational efficiency.

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an inventory control role within a highly regulated industry.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in a related environment.
  • APICS training, certifications, or an equivalent designation is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple, competing deliverables.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support team and organizational objectives.

Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more experience than listed above, the pay range will be higher.

  • $80,000 – 105,000 (CAD Annually)
