Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of skills in home repair and maintenance, demonstrating proficiency in various tasks that ensure the functionality and aesthetics of residential and commercial properties. This role requires a hands-on approach, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Duties

  • Perform drywall installation and repair, ensuring smooth finishes and structural integrity.
  • Execute cabinet installation projects, including measuring, cutting, and securing cabinets in place.
  • Lay tile for flooring or backsplashes with precision and care for aesthetics and durability.
  • Conduct carpentry tasks such as building shelves, frames, or custom furniture as needed.
  • Carry out construction painting duties, preparing surfaces and applying paint with attention to detail.
  • Read and interpret schematics for various projects to ensure accuracy in execution.
  • Apply caulking to seal gaps around windows, doors, and other fixtures for improved insulation.
  • Utilize welding techniques for metal repairs or installations when necessary.
  • Operate power tools safely and effectively to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Finish concrete surfaces with skill, ensuring a smooth and durable finish.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in maintenance person services or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of construction techniques and repair methods is essential.
  • Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools safely is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, or technical drawings is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Must possess physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks including lifting heavy objects when necessary.
