Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable Construction handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for renovations, repairing, and improving the functionality of our apartment units and equipment. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong work ethic who can handle a variety of tasks to ensure the safety and operational efficiency of our property. The position offers an opportunity to utilize diverse skills in a dynamic environment, contributing to the overall upkeep and enhancement of our premises.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine construction and renovation on building apartment units
  • Conduct inspections to identify issues and determine necessary repairs or replacements
  • Install, assemble, and troubleshoot various equipment and fixtures as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards across all work areas
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or management
  • Assist with renovation projects or upgrades to existing facilities
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and supplies used
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies at all times

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a construction handyman or in a similar renovation role
  • Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall/plastering, painting, tiles and HVAC systems is preferred
  • Ability to operate basic hand tools and power equipment safely and effectively
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces
