Job Description:
The TD Private Wealth Management is one of Canada's largest wealth management companies, providing a unique suite of fully integrated banking, investment, insurance, estate and trust solutions to high net-worth individuals. With an approach based on establishing close-knit, long-term, confidential relationships with a select client base, TD Private Wealth Management (PWM) provides individually structured, high-end wealth management solutions to its clients that bring together the expertise and resources of a team of multi-disciplinary experts to provide greater financial flexibility.
The Team Manager PBD is responsible for leading a team of Private Banking Associates, responsible for exceeding clients' needs for asset accumulation, preservation and growth, and for providing sales support, credit management, and account administration while delivering a legendary private client experience and delivers all services via phone and digital technology. The Private Associate team contributes to the overall growth of the business while identifying and acting on potential sales opportunities. This role reports to group manager.
accountabilities
- Leads a team Private Banking Associates
- Managing and overseeing OneTD partnership
- Helps to craft the vision that will drive a cohesive team approach and motivate all individuals to achieve individual and shared performance goals
- Responsible for the delivery of a consistent legendary PB experience to all clients which focus on growth, profitability, productivity, client experience and risk.
- Ensure all NEW clients receive a complete transition/ on-boarding experience, which includes a thorough client discovery process. An introduction to PB Partners and the completion of a client Wealth Strategy for all clients
- Ensure that we conduct rediscovery meetings with EXISTING clients to add value and deliver a PB experience, as outlined above
- Participate in the resolution of significant customer relationship issues
- Lead by example in delivering an exceptional and integrated client experience to all PB clients & prospects
- Recruit, develop and retain a best-in-class team of Private Banking associates,
- Understand PB regulations in a virtual environment, TD operating policies and procedures to ensure the PODs operate in compliance with applicable internal and external requirements
Responsible for analyzing recorded calls for bankers, analyzing, tracking compliance results complying with governance and control regulations unique to virtual model
Consistently lead and facilitate sales meetings that are focused on supporting the Private Bankers, while working with our OneTD partners
- Consistently provide weekly value added, consultative coaching to the Private Bankers, with a focus on business development developing
- Established and build OneTD relationship with partners to identify a future pipeline of opportunities
- Develop productive working relationships with other key OneTD partners
Achieve sales targets consistent with organizational objectives
Grow, develop and manage a highly fast paced growing business segment with PB
- Partner effectively with the Retail branch network and Commercial Bank as well as other wealth management professionals to translate potential leads into business, lead presentations to key potential clients and partners
- Ensure all staff are fully aware of and are compliant with all applicable internal and external regulations, policies and procedures and all other operational accountabilities
- Model and ensure staff understand and adhere to the appropriate operating policies/procedures/controls, Bank/industry service standards, codes of conduct and maintain high ethical standards
- Respect and enforce all privacy codes and guidelines of conduct specifically in a virtual environment
- Manage employees in compliance with all HR policies, procedures and guidelines of conduct
required education and/or accreditation
MF Branch Managers Compliance Officer certification (or equivalent) is required
required capabilities
- Familiarity with Private Banking and Private Wealth Management businesses would be an asset
- Familiarity with communication software-Finesse , rivermine , Verint, Jabber
- Knowledge of Bank regulatory risk and compliance policies, processes, and requirements
- Knowledge of Retail Banking systems, applications, processes, and procedures
- Familiarity with Private Banking and Private Wealth Management businesses would be an asset
- Knowledge of and ability to explain KYC, ATF and/or AML regulations, requirements, and procedures
- Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills
- Experience leading, developing and coaching others
- Ability to manage through influence
- Excellent Customer service skills, including ability to deal professionally with branch issues, problems and questions
- Self-motivated, able to work independently, as well as part of a team - working well with other team members and keeping all relevant individuals, including management, up to date in a timely manner
- Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
Research and analytical ability to review information and draw appropriate conclusions
Attention to detail, accuracy and good organizational skills
