Your Contribution:

Your main responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Employee Experience, Wester Canada, the Human Resources Business Partner will work closely with managers and employees in supporting the achievement of our business objectives in Western Canada. You will work in a challenging and constantly changing environment and will have the ability to take on interesting projects and support a dynamic client group.

Working from our Calgary or Edmonton office, in a flexible work environment, you will be the go to contact for all Human Resource related inquiries for your assigned client group.

Your mandate will consist of:

  • Stakeholder influence- build strong, trusting relationships with leaders and employees to drive initiatives forward;
  • Provide Managers with HR expertise in people management within a constantly changing environment;
  • Assist with change management strategies and communications to effectively guide employees through significant initiatives;
  • Drive HR compliance, ensure consistency of HR practices and policies;
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, providing guidance and coaching to leaders and employees to resolve issues;
  • Participate in talent identification programs, coordinate and monitor succession plans;
  • Acting as a champion for the organization's culture, developing strategies to improve employee engagement and position the company as an employer of choice;
  • Provide support on specific training initiatives;
  • Identify talent development needs for your assigned client group;
  • Support management for workforce planning;
  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety culture

Your Profile:

What makes you unique

  • Minimum three (5) years' experience in an HR client service facing position;
  • University degree or college diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent;
  • Member of the Chartered Human Resources Profession (or CPHR Candidate) or HRPA (CHRP) is strongly preferred;
  • Experience with HRIS: Dayforce, Workday, Peoplesoft or similar;
  • Extensive knowledge of Employment Standards Acts, Human Rights, and Labour Laws;
  • Previous engineering/ construction industry experience is an asset;
  • Bilingual in English and French an asset;
  • Excellent English oral and writing skills;
  • Although minimal, some travel is required.
