SUMMARY

The Warehouse & Inventory Coordinator is responsible for ensuring positive and effective communication with drivers and internal staff. As well as reconciling Inventory between system and physical and performing accurate data entry / record keeping. This role relies heavily on effective communication skills, time management / prioritization and accuracy. 

This is a temporary, 4-month contract position with the potential for extension based on business needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process inbound & outbound PO's (verify and report errors to Team Lead/Supervisor), receive SCT (Supply Chain Transfer) into our ERP system.
  • Excellent time management skills, able to effectively communicate with various departments.
  • Data entry, record keeping, generation of reports, inventory investigation, and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain SOPs.
  • Process all required paperwork and maintain adequate records for reporting and tracking.
  • Perform inventory bin transfers physically (using Forklift) and electronically in our ERP System (through RF guns or computer).
  • Knowledge of cycle counts, receiving, order picking processes & FIFO/FEFO.
  • May be assigned to other duties as required.

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in packaging and/or a manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Experience with ERP and MS Excel is recommended.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred; must be proficient in math.
  • Valid First Aid Certification is an asset.
  • Able to work well and multitask in a fast-paced environment meeting deadlines while maintaining dedication to quality, safety & accuracy.
  • Able to read, write, and speak in English.

RELATED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

  • Hearing protection and steel toe shoes required (will be provided).
  • Forklift experience and certification is an asset
  • Ability to work in a cold environment.
  • Frequently standing, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, and twisting while transferring product.
  • Maneuver heavy objects, including lifting (floor to waist, waist to shoulders, and overhead) and carrying up to 30kg (approximately one to two hours a day)
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Excel / ERP Systems), and recordkeeping.
  • Ability to follow safety rules, work under guidelines and attention to detail.

COMPENSATION, BENEFITS & PERKS

Daiya's compensation offerings are based on a pay-for-performance philosophy. The pay range for this position is $23.00/per hour. This is a temporary, 4-month contract position with the potential for extension based on business needs. The shift for this position is from 09:00AM - 05:30PM.
