Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and possess experience in food and beverage preparation. This role involves preparing and serving beverages, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and ensuring a positive experience for all customers. Previous barista experience is preferred, along with strong time management skills and knowledge of food safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee, tea, and specialty beverages following standardized recipes
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, for order processing and cash handling
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries or concerns
  • Maintain cleanliness of the workspace, equipment, and dining area in compliance with food safety standards
  • Assist with food preparation and food handling as needed
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods using effective time management skills
  • Ensure proper food safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Restock supplies as necessary to ensure smooth operations throughout shifts

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of POS systems, especially Micros POS, is preferred
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Ability to perform basic math for cash handling and transactions accurately
  • Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods effectively
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Basic understanding of food preparation and serving techniques
  • Flexibility to work during peak hours, including mornings, afternoons, or evenings as needed
