Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with experience in cake decorating and food presentation. This role involves preparing a variety of baked goods, creating visually appealing desserts, and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The Pastry Chef will contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovative and beautifully crafted pastries.

Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes and standards
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair, including piping, fondant work, and other decorating techniques
  • Ensure all baked goods meet quality and presentation standards before serving or packaging
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as mixing, portioning, and assembling ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Package baked goods securely for retail sale or catering orders
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules and menu offerings
  • Adhere to food handling procedures to ensure safety and hygiene at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience in cake decorating and pastry arts within a restaurant or bakery setting
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Excellent food handling skills with a focus on food safety standards
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Customer service skills to assist guests or clients with product selections when needed
  • Experience in food industry practices including packaging, presentation, and inventory management
  • Creative flair for designing visually appealing desserts that align with brand standards
  • Basic cooking skills complemented by experience in food industry environments
