As we gear up for a vibrant opening, we're seeking a talented Pastry Chef to bring sweet innovation to our team.

The Role

As our Pastry Chef, you'll be the creative force behind our dessert and baked goods program, crafting pastries that align with our wellness ethos—think low-sugar indulgences, seasonal superfood infusions, and visually stunning plates that delight the senses. This full-time position (40 hours/week) offers a supportive, fast-paced environment where your ideas can shine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute a rotating menu of wellness-inspired pastries, including vegan/gluten-free options, tarts, cakes, and artisan breads.
  • Source high-quality, sustainable ingredients and collaborate with our culinary team to ensure consistency and innovation.
  • Maintain impeccable kitchen standards, including inventory management, portion control, and food safety protocols.
  • Train and mentor junior staff while fostering a positive, team-oriented vibe.
  • Experiment with trends like adaptogen-infused sweets or plant-based chocolates to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of professional pastry experience in a cafe, restaurant, or bakery setting, with a passion for healthy baking.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, flavor profiles, and dietary accommodations (e.g., gluten-free, vegan, low-glycemic).
  • Creative problem-solver with excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • FoodSafe Level 1 certification (or equivalent) and ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for wellness-focused hospitality—bonus points for experience in Vancouver's vibrant food scene
