Join the Township of Wellington North as a Program Assistant – Aquatics, on a Seasonal Fixed Term Casual Contract, that will work from approximately June until end of August 2026.

What You'll Do:
  • Provide excellent customer service at the pool front desk and during programs.

  • Process admissions, rentals, programs and drop-in fees accurately.

  • Support aquatic staff with swimming lessons and program setup/cleanup.

  • Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming facility, including offices, deck, changing rooms and washrooms.

What We're Looking For:
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to stay calm and effective in emergencies.

  • Bronze Cross certification, required.

  • Lifesaving Society Assistant Instructor certification or higher, considered an asset.

  • Standard First Aid – CPR C/AED, or willing to obtain.

  • Attention to detail, responsible with cash transactions and reliable.

  • Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening for anyone over 18.

  • Other bonus skills include but not required: previous aquatic and/or working with youth experience.

Position Details:
  • This is a Seasonal Fixed Term Casual Contract position, that works about 1 to 4 shifts per week, dependent on budget availability; hours will vary and be limited.

  • Shifts will include early mornings, daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays, between 6am to 8:30pm.

  • Outdoor aquatic environment, with exposure to varying weather, chemicals, mechanical systems and moderate noise.

  • Role involves standing, swimming, walking, lifting, and cleaning.

  • Pay Range: $17.60 per hour
