We're looking for a detail-driven Accounting Coordinator who's ready to help us build a financial system that reflects those same values. Someone who cares about accuracy, communication, and doing things the right way — even when no one's watching.
The Challenge
Trust in real estate doesn't just come from good service — it comes from clean, reliable numbers.
Behind every deal, there are dozens of payments, commissions, deposits, and expenses that need to be tracked with precision and care.
Your role is to keep that financial foundation rock solid.
You'll make sure our books balance, our agents are paid correctly, and our records reflect the integrity that Multidoor stands for.
What You'll Do
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring everything runs smoothly and on schedule.
- Handle bank reconciliations, verifying balances and identifying discrepancies quickly.
- Prepare and review agent commission statements, keeping payouts accurate and transparent.
- Track and allocate listing expenses, marketing costs, referral fees, and trust deposits.
- Maintain trust accounts in full compliance with RECO and internal policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and audits, preparing reports that help leadership make informed decisions.
- Partner with the operations team to streamline financial processes and make our systems more transparent and efficient.
- Make sure you include the words "honey badger" in your cover letter or resume
Who You Are
You're studying accounting or recently graduated and ready to see how your skills make a real-world impact. You like numbers, but more importantly, you like what they represent — accountability, order, and trust.
You'll be a great fit if you:
- Are currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an Accounting, Finance, or Business program.
- Have a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and a knack for accuracy.
- Are familiar with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks, or other accounting software.
- Excel at organization, follow-through, and problem-solving.
- Have clear, professional communication skills — written and verbal.
- Care deeply about transparency and doing work that people can rely on.

What You Bring
- 1–2 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (internships, co-ops, or part-time work all count).
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
- Familiarity with reconciliation processes and journal entries.
- Curiosity about how real estate transactions and commissions work.
- A mindset that values integrity, collaboration, and progress.
