Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Heavy Truck & Trailer Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for completing maintenance, inspections and repairs to customer truck and trailers. This role requires a strong understanding of truck and trailer systems and the skill set to diagnose and repair independently.

Duties

  • Conducting Drive-on inspections and preventative maintenance inspections.
  • Troubleshoot a wide variety of truck and trailer systems and complete the required repairs.
  • Maintain accurate repair logs.
  • Maintain clean and safe work environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parts and service advisor, customers, and team members.
  • Use available resources such as diagnostic computer software, online service manuals and schematics, specialized tooling.

Skills

  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including trucks with various configurations.
  • Willingness to complete tasks on a wide variety of vehicles of various makes, models and applications.
  • Strong understanding of troubleshooting engine, emissions, electrical and HVAC systems is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for equipment repair.
  • Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with customers.
  • Strong attention to detail in maintaining repair orders and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
