Your opportunity:
Under the direct supervision of the Student Conduct & Academic Integrity Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and delivering workshops/seminars promoting and advancing the mission of the Academic Integrity Office by educating faculty, staff, and students on issues related to academic integrity, by acting as a resource to academic departments for information about the process involved in academic offence cases, and by facilitating the process to handle all allegations of undergraduate academic misconduct. Additionally, they will provide a range of confidential administrative support with respect to academic discipline, student academic misconduct and integrity matters.
This position will also be the on-site lead for all events and workshops/seminars.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing content for instructional workshops and drafting presentation materials
- Developing e-learning modules and online assessments using existing software for instructional purposes
- Delivering presentations to promote programs, opportunities and/or initiatives for instructional purposes and leading events, seminars and/or workshops
- Providing detailed explanations and demonstrating procedures to students and/or employees
- Advising students on personal and academic issues by probing and providing a range of options and possible consequences
- Investigating and reporting on academic related non-compliance issues
- Coordinating meeting schedules, agendas, materials, action and follow-up items
- Preparing draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum four years of recent and related experience in an academic environment that includes developing content and leading workshops/seminars related to academic policies.
- Minimum two years of case management or incident management experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing, coordinating and evaluating programming for staff, faculty and students.
- Demonstrated work experience, familiarity and understanding of the Code of Behavior on Academic Matters and governance.
- Demonstrated experience working with academic policies with knowledge of the university's structure and its departments.
- Experience and knowledge of student development and student success.
- Must have well-developed written and oral communication and proven presentation skills.
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines.
- Must demonstrate good judgment, attention to detail, reliability, accuracy, tact, empathy, and information management skills.
- Advanced computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, Adobe Acrobat or comparable software, ROSI or similar software and Web programs/applications.
- Working knowledge of FIPPA (Freedom of Information Protection and Privacy Act).
- Ability to deal courteously with faculty, staff, students, applicants and the public from a diverse background.
- Ability to maintain and exhibit cultural sensitivity and handle matters of a sensitive and confidential nature.
- Must be able to identify students under distress and know how to react or refer in an attempt to minimize a potential threat of upset or harm.

USW Pay Band 12 -- $81,312. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $103,986. Pay scale and job class assignment is subject to determination pursuant to the Job Evaluation/Pay Equity Maintenance Protocol.
