Howlett Academy provides an academic program that is integrated, structured but creative and highly engaging. The goal is to create confident, organized, lifelong learners who are engaged with their community and respectful to their peers.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking an enthusiastic and productive teacher with a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to build caring and supportive relationships with students.

The Academic Success Teacher works closely with lead homeroom teachers to support student learning and achievement through individual, small group, and whole-class instruction.

This position supports students across grades JK to 8 in the subject areas of Mathematics, Language Arts, Social Studies, Geography, and Science & Technology.

There is the possibility of extension into the 2026–27 academic year.

Qualifications and Experience

Applicants must have:

  • A minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification

Other Qualifications

  • Enthusiastic and productive work ethic
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Collaborative approach and strong team spirit
  • High level of accountability and self-motivation
  • Commitment to professionalism and to achieving the goals of the Academy

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Contract length: 7 months
