And includes reviewing project plans, calculating quantities, and collaborating with subcontractors and vendors to develop detailed budgets and bids. Compensation to be based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

· Cost Analysis: Thoroughly analyze project plans, specifications, and materials lists to calculate quantities and associated costs.

· Material Sourcing: Research and obtain pricing from vendors and suppliers for all necessary materials.

· Labor Estimation: Determine the required labor hours and rates for each task, factoring in project complexity and subcontractor availability.

· Subcontractor Management: Coordinate with subcontractors, negotiate bids, and ensure their estimates align with the project scope.

· Budget Development: Create comprehensive cost estimates, including contingency allowances and project overhead, to build a detailed budget for the project.

· Bidding and Proposal preparation: Prepare competitive bids for projects, ensuring accurate and realistic cost projections.

· Communication and Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate costing and smooth project execution.

Additional Responsibilities

· Prepare and maintain directory of suppliers and trade contractors

· Preliminary estimates for proposed projects

· Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

· Estimate multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail.

  • Ability to understand technical drawings and requirements
