About the Role

As an Account Assistant in our Surety team, you'll play a key role in supporting our production and service teams to deliver an exceptional client experience. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in providing outstanding service.

We're looking for someone who can manage competing priorities with ease, maintain accuracy under pressure, and communicate effectively with clients and partners. If you're passionate about client service and enjoy working collaboratively, this role is for you.

What You'll Do:

  • Process Bond Requests:
    Receive bond requests via email, review requirements, and draft bonds accurately.
  • Coordinate Approvals:
    Submit bonds to surety companies for approval and issue bonds upon confirmation (including printed and e-bonding systems).
  • Manage Logistics:
    Handle incoming and outgoing couriers and maintain bond number tracking systems.
  • Billing & Collections:
    Prepare invoices, send premiums with bonds, and follow up on payments promptly.
  • Client & Partner Communication:
    Respond to inquiries the same day, via phone and email, ensuring clear and professional communication.
  • Team Collaboration:
    Participate in team meetings, client visits, and insurer discussions.
  • Administrative Support:
    Assist with additional tasks and projects as needed to support the team's success.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in a detail-oriented, fast-paced environment
  • Surety & Bonding experience considered an asset, but not required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in technology and digital tools, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and software.
  • Level 1 General Insurance License, considered an asset, but not required
  • Familiarity with Epic, considered an asset, but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a client-first mindset

What We Offer:

  • $55,000 – $70,000
    (for candidates without Surety/Insurance experience)
  • $70,000 – $95,000
    (for candidates with Surety/Insurance experience)
