Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Carpenter located in the Greater Winnipeg Metropolitan Area. The Lead Carpenter will oversee carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring quality craftsmanship and adherence to timelines. Responsibilities include interpreting blueprints, planning and delegating tasks, using and maintaining tools, performing framing and finish carpentry, and collaborating with team members to ensure project efficiency and safety. The role may also involve training and supervising junior team members.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Carpentry and Finish Carpentry
  • Expertise in using Power Tools and Hand Tools safely and effectively
  • Experience and skill in Framing construction
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to guide others
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Relevant certification or vocational training in carpentry is preferred
