We are a Winnipeg-based construction company specializing in residential and light commercial carpentry and framing. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and on-time delivery, we’re expanding our team and looking for a **Lead Carpenter/Framer** to help manage and execute projects in Winnipeg and nearby communities.

**Position Overview**:
We’re seeking a highly skilled and dependable **Lead Carpenter/Framer** to oversee crews, ensure high-quality workmanship, and maintain efficient job site operations. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys building and mentoring others.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead daily site operations and coordinate crew tasks
- Interpret blueprints and layout framing components
- Build and install walls, floors, roofs, and structural elements
- Ensure quality control and code compliance
- Order and track materials as needed
- Enforce job site safety and cleanliness
- Communicate with clients, supervisors, and subcontractors
- Mentor and train junior carpenters and apprentices

**Qualifications**:

- 5+ years’ experience in framing or carpentry (residential/light commercial)
- 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory or lead hand role
- Proficient with power tools, measurements, and construction math
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Certifications in Fall Protection and WHMIS (or willingness to obtain)
- Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions
