OVERVIEW:

As an Inside Sales Specialist, you play a crucial role by being in constant contact with clients and potential clients, managing inbound opportunities, nurturing prospects, and building the pipeline. You bring strong communication skills and systematic approach to sales processes to maximize our business growth.

You are responsible for handling assigned inbound leads from marketing campaigns; qualifying and nurturing assigned prospects through phone, video, and email; closing assigned opportunities independently; completing focused outbound call projects; and providing sales support that multiplies the effectiveness of our overall sales efforts.

You excel at building relationships through multiple touchpoints, managing complex information flows, and using systematic processes to ensure no opportunities fall through the cracks. You are comfortable with technology platforms and take pride in maintaining accurate, actionable pipeline data.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Inbound Lead Management:

  • Respond promptly to inbound inquiries from website, marketing campaigns, and referrals
  • Conduct initial qualification conversations to assess fit and opportunity size
  • Nurture warm prospects through systematic follow-up campaigns
  • Qualify inbound sales enquiries and categorize per established criteria (e.g. value, level of custom, key account owner, inside/outside, etc. - criteria to be determined)

Designated Account and Opportunity Management:

  • Own and manage assigned opportunities
  • Build and maintain relationships with assigned existing customers for repeat business
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within assigned accounts

Sales Cycle Ownership:

  • Own the complete sales cycle for qualified high-volume opportunities
  • Work with internal teams to develop accurate quotes and proposals
  • Negotiate pricing within established guidelines
  • Process orders and coordinate with manufacturing for delivery

Pipeline Development and Management:

  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in the CRM
  • Track and report on lead sources, conversion rates, and sales metrics
  • Develop systematic follow-up schedules for different prospect types
  • Identify prospects ready for Outside Sales Manager engagement

CRM and Data Management:

  • Maintain accurate contact information and opportunity details in the CRM
  • Generate sales reports and pipeline analysis for management
  • Ensure data consistency across all sales tools and systems
  • Support sales forecasting with accurate pipeline data

Sales Process Coordination:

  • Manage order processing and customer coordination for inside sales opportunities
  • Support the sales team with coordination with estimating as needed
  • Manage sales processes and provide feedback

Customer and Contract Support:

  • Process sales order documents and coordinate with administration
  • Handle routine customer service inquiries
  • Support repeat orders and routine account maintenance
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and customer communications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in inside sales or customer service in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated success in phone-based sales and relationship building
  • Desire to grow expertise in a B2B sales role
  • Strong proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to understand technical products and communicate benefits effectively
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Comfortable with phone and video-based customer interactions
  • Experience with proposal development and quote management
  • Ability to work collaboratively with field sales teams
  • Results-oriented mindset with focus on achieving targets
  • High school diploma required; some college or technical training preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
