We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis, and treatment of visual disorders. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary.
  • Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the use of prescribed medications or devices.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems, such as Epic.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic patient care.
  • Engage in sales of optical products, including glasses and contact lenses.
  • Provide specialized care for pediatric and senior patients, ensuring their unique needs are met.
  • Stay updated on advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Skills

  • Proficient in medical terminology relevant to optometry.
  • Strong patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
  • Experience or knowledge in pediatrics and senior care is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Sales skills related to optical products and services are a plus.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly Epic, is advantageous.
