Part-time Late Evening Assistant in Fenelon Falls
Seeking a conscientious, thoughtful care provider for late evening support, as well as some weekend support, to a 30-year-old male striving for independence within his community. You would facilitate his nighttime routine, including shower and CPAP assistance. On weekends, there may be daytime outings for community experiences.
This role would be best suited for someone who is looking for flexible and reliable casual work hours, and can engage a sociable, enthusiastic man who is eager to demonstrate his capabilities.
You posses a willingness to learn from and about the individual, and the ability to adapt strategies for ongoing life skills development. You are an excellent communicator, able to view situations from the other's point of view. You are motivated by the success of this individual to embrace his own independent living.
You will work closely with the individual while following the lead and direction of the family.
Please note: This is a self-employed Independent Support Worker position. CPR-First Aid certification, and a vulnerable sector Police check are required, as well as General Liability Insurance and Abuse Liability Insurance. Pay is negotiable and commensurate with the related expenses of those requirements. Two or three solid references demonstrating your relevant experience will be requested.
