Your Opportunity:
South Health Campus (SHC) services Calgary and the surrounding rural areas and was designed as a referral center for Southern Alberta. South Health Campus' operational philosophy has been built on Four Pillars: Collaborative Practice, Wellness, Patient and Family Centered Care, and Innovation. These pillars guide the development and delivery of service to all patients and families at South Health Campus. This position primarily supports the acute care in-patients' medical units at South Health Campus with the potential for outpatient clinic support. The caseload may include the following areas: general medicine, neurology, and orthopedic surgery. Within the established standards, directives and policies for the work environment and the profession, you will provide guidance to other healthcare professionals and clinical direction to support personnel and students. Excellent organizational and time management skills to efficiently organize and prioritize workload to keep pace in a busy multi-disciplinary patient care environment are required. Problem-solving, critical thinking and conflict-resolution skills are also essential in this position. The caseload for all positions within the Allied Health department may be subject to change based on operational considerations.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of bachelor's degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) through Heart & Stroke Foundation. Previous experience working in an acute care hospital.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in an acute care Emergency Department. Knowledge and experience with Decision Making Capacity. Understanding and experience of Grief and Loss. Minimum 2 years of experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
