Job Summary

Community Builders Group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Coordinator to manage and support a wide range of human resources functions. This role plays a critical part in fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting employee engagement, and ensuring HR processes align with organizational goals. The HR Coordinator will handle HR administration, employee relations, attendance management, compliance, and reporting, serving as a key point of contact for staff and management.

Reports to: Human Resources Manager

Key Responsibilities:

HR Administration & Attendance Management

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personal information, employment history, benefits, and attendance.
  • Track employee leave, absences, and time-off requests, ensuring accurate payroll and reporting.
  • Prepare HR documentation such as offer letters, contracts, performance reviews, and other HR correspondence.
  • Update and manage HR software systems to ensure accurate employee data.
  • Support smooth onboarding and offboarding processes, including orientation, benefits enrollment, exit interviews, and final paperwork.

Recruitment Support

  • Assist in posting job openings, coordinating applicant communications, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and union agreements.

Compliance & Legal Requirements

  • Ensure adherence to labor laws, employment regulations, collective agreements, and organizational policies.
  • Assist with audits and regulatory reporting, preparing required documentation.
  • Stay informed on changes to employment legislation and advise management on compliance matters.

General Administrative Support

  • Provide administrative support for HR projects, training sessions, meetings, and other departmental needs.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient HR function to support overall organizational effectiveness.

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma, certificate, or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 1–4 years of experience in HR or related administrative roles, with hands-on exposure to recruitment, onboarding, attendance tracking, employee relations, and HR reporting.
  • Familiarity with HR software/HRIS systems and HR compliance requirements.
  • CPHR designation or progress toward certification is considered an asset.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain confidentiality, and support HR initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
