We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting freight and goods, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining communication with dispatch and clients. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively across various delivery routes.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling as needed, ensuring proper securing of freight.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
  • Assist with moving freight within warehouses or loading docks when necessary.
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during transportation activities.

Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and troubleshoot issues.
  • Experience with moving freight, including the use of forklifts or other handling equipment is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to operate forklifts or other material handling equipment is a plus.
  • Physical ability to lift, move, and secure freight as required.
  • Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.75-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 60 – 84 per week
