We're growing and looking for a Dealer Technical Support Representative to join our team. This role is critical to helping our dealers succeed — by providing expert technical support, guiding them through installations, and ensuring they have the confidence and knowledge to showcase Gemstone Lights at their best.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the main technical point of contact for our dealer network.
  • Provide troubleshooting support and answer product-related questions via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Conduct onboarding and training sessions with new dealers, including guided design calls and first-install mentorship (typically on their own property).
  • Assist with design and installation questions — from layout planning to wiring, connectivity, and system setup.
  • Collaborate with the dealer sales and training teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Document common issues, share feedback with the product and support teams, and help improve our knowledge base and training materials.

  • Comfortable talking through technical topics and explaining complex ideas simply.
  • Organized, proactive, and a strong communicator — both written and verbal.
  • Excited about technology and learning new systems quickly.

Qualifications

  • Some technical background or experience in a related field (e.g., electrical, networking, low-voltage systems, home automation, or technical support).
  • Prior experience in customer support, technical support, or dealer relations is a strong plus.
  • Experience in the lighting or smart home industry is not required — we'll provide full training.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, remote support tools, and CRM software.
