McMillan has an exciting opportunity as a Legal Administrative Assistant in our Toronto Corporate Services Group.  As a member of the team, you will play a key role in managing the legal and administrative aspects of the practices of a team of successful Law Clerks.

What You'll Do

You will be the go-to person for your team who will depend on your guidance and support to keep them organized. You will be involved in a wide variety of administrative tasks, including:  preparing/drafting and revising first drafts of correspondence; updating corporate database and minute books; assisting with the preparation of corporate documents, such as annual resolutions, business name registrations and other forms required; organizing and maintaining physical and electronic filing systems; Supporting dockets and accounts; other administrative duties as required, such as maintaining legal professionals' calendars, contacts and travel arrangements.

What You Bring

You have established yourself as a key resource in your successful legal career. Your history includes a Legal Assistant Diploma, coupled with a minimum of three to five years of administrative assistant experience in Corporate Services. You have strong administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills. You have experience with dealing with corporate databases (e.g., MinuteBox) and are familiar with updating and putting together corporate minute books. You are detail-oriented and can effectively meet deadlines, work well in a team setting, manage a fast-paced workload, and provide an exceptional level of client service. You are motivated, a self-starter, and able to work independently. You have a keen interest in learning, embrace evolving technology, and have strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro. Prior experience with iManage, Intapp, and 3E or similar document management, file opening and accounting software is helpful.
