Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. This role is vital in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and the use of various accounting software. Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently and accurately
- Perform bank reconciliations and account analysis to ensure data integrity
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Assist with account reconciliation tasks to verify transaction accuracy
- Support payroll processing activities and ensure timely payments
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Conduct budgeting support activities, including tracking expenses against budgets
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
- Collaborate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation
- Continuously improve bookkeeping procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Skills
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping, and financial reporting
- Experience with payroll processing and related compliance requirements
- Expertise in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and identify discrepancies
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external auditors
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial data management
