**Job Title** Automotive Accounting Clerk

**Department **Accounting

We have built the best dealership, now we are building the best team. The O’Neill Automotive Group is looking for an individual with a knowledge of routine accounting functions for the position of Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk will process and generate financial data for all dealership departments and provide accurate reporting data to the Controllers. Responsible for accounting and administrative functions such as, maintaining payroll records, compiling verified accounts payable records, as well as depositing all monies received by the dealership.

**Essential Duties**
- Ensures that all manufacturer accounts including warranty claims, rebates, interest, protection, and co-op advertising accounts are current and accurate
- Maintains accounting records and documentation of sales and purchases of vehicles
- Calculates and prepares monthly journal entries
- Maintains payroll systems and records
- Reviews and approves accounts payable invoices for processing
- Analyzes vendor accounts
- Assists with special projects as needed
- 1+ years’ experience in a similar role
- Post
- secondary accounting, or finance education
- Strong computer skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of CDK (considered an asset)
- Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to be flexible and respond to changing priorities
