Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fabricator/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, blueprint reading, and various welding techniques to produce high-quality products for construction, ductwork, and other manufacturing applications. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in welding and fabrication to contribute to diverse projects in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine specifications and dimensions.
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring strong, clean welds that meet quality standards.
- Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Use calipers, measuring tapes, and other precision tools to ensure accurate cuts and assemblies.
- Rigging materials and equipment as needed for lifting or positioning components using cranes or forklifts.
- Machining parts as required to meet specifications, including cutting, grinding, and shaping metal components.
- Assemble fabricated parts according to schematics and assembly instructions while maintaining strict quality control.
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool maintenance practices.
- Assist in the setup and operation of machinery involved in ductwork, construction projects, or other manufacturing processes.
- Follow safety procedures related to welding, machining, rigging, and handling heavy equipment.
Experience
- Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) with the ability to produce high-quality welds on various metals.
- Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including plasma cutting, press brake operation, machining, and assembly.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings essential for precise fabrication work.
- Experience operating cranes, forklifts, power tools, hand tools, calipers, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of rigging techniques for lifting heavy materials safely using cranes or other lifting devices.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Prior experience working in manufacturing, construction, ductwork installation or related fields is highly desirable. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to apply their fabrication skills in a dynamic environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety and quality standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
