Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication processes, with the ability to read blueprints and schematics. This role involves working with various materials and utilizing different welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding. The Fabricator/Welder will be responsible for producing high-quality components and assemblies while ensuring safety and efficiency in the manufacturing process.

Duties

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, ensuring high-quality welds that meet specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to fabricate parts accurately.
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as plasma cutters, press brake machines, and forklifts to complete tasks.
  • Conduct rigging operations safely when moving heavy components or materials.
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform basic maintenance.
  • Engage in assembly processes, ensuring that all components fit together correctly and function as intended.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines effectively.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing or construction environment.
  • Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, plasma cutting, and operating a press brake machine.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use calipers for precise measurements.
  • Familiarity with ductwork fabrication is a plus.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for effective production processes.
  • Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, rigging equipment, and cranes is preferred.
  • Forklift certification is advantageous but not required; training may be provided.
