Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson to join our team in . The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in industrial and mechanical systems, with a strong background in maintenance, repair, and operation of heavy equipment. This role involves working with diverse machinery, including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, as well as performing welding, electrical work, and troubleshooting. The Journeyperson will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning of equipment and supporting various operational needs across our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on industrial equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery.
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, and other power tools safely and efficiently.
- Conduct welding and mechanical repairs using hand tools and schematics to restore equipment functionality.
- Maintain electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Read and interpret technical schematics for diagnosis and repair of complex systems.
- Assist in assembly tasks for new equipment or system upgrades.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely in accordance with safety protocols.
- Support maintenance teams with general mechanical tasks to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing operational concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyperson with a strong background in dealership service or industrial maintenance.
- Hands-on experience operating excavators, cranes, forklifts, HVAC systems, and other heavy machinery.
- Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair, farm machinery, or industrial equipment.
- Skilled in welding, electrical work, schematics reading, and the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment efficiently.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately using schematics and technical manuals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities coupled with good customer service skills.
- Relevant certifications or licenses related to heavy equipment operation or electrical work are preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic environment requiring technical expertise and a commitment to safety standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $35.00-$52.00 per hour
