Verdant DBM Inc. is seeking reliable and hardworking Snow Shovellers to join our team for the upcoming winter season. These positions are crucial for ensuring the safe removal of snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and public spaces. We are looking for individuals who are available to be on call 24/7 and can work in all weather conditions, including during holidays such as Christmas and New Year's. This is a great opportunity for individuals seeking long hours and possible summer employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Snow Shovelling: Perform snow shovelling, snow blowing, and properly piling snow as needed across various locations.
  • Weather Conditions: Work outdoors in a range of weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, rain, and wet environments.
  • Long Hours: Be available for extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, during snow and ice events.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, operational procedures, and company policies to ensure safe operation during snow removal tasks.
  • Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with supervisors and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in snow shovelling or similar physical outdoor labor is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in harsh winter conditions.
  • Must be available on call 24/7 during snow and ice events, including all holidays.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the yard is required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and operational procedures in snow removal operations.
