Employment Status: Full-Time – Contract ending March 31, 2027

Salary: $31.34- $37.46/HR – 35 Hours per Week

Location: Naughton, ON

POSITION SCOPE:

The Restorative Justice Coordinator, under the direction of the Director of Health & Community Wellness, will be responsible for researching, collecting, compiling, and analyzing information to support the development and implementation of a Restorative Justice Program for Atikameksheng Anishnawbek.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or diploma in social sciences, social work, law and another relevant
  • Related experience,
  • Experience working with Indigenous people
  • Knowledge of Atikameksheng Anishnawbek and Ojibway Culture and Traditions
  • Experience working within the legal system or correctional system;
  • Knowledge of socio judicial resources and community services;

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Compile and analyze information
  • Recruit volunteers
  • Coordinate meetings, complete meeting minutes
  • To coordinate the development of the Restorative Justice Program in Atikameksheng Anishnawbek;
  • Monitor and provide bi-weekly workplan updates to supervisor
  • Complete report submissions to meet funding requirements
