Digital Marketing Specialist (Facebook Business Ads)

Duration: 14-month contract (maternity leave coverage)

Location: Onsite, Jane and Dundas (hybrid)

Salary: $62-75K + benefits

Our client is seeking a creative and experienced digital marketing and social media specialist to join their team onsite, for a 14-month maternity leave coverage. The ideal candidate enjoys writing, content creation, and managing paid advertising campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Paid Social Media Campaigns: Plan, execute, and optimize paid campaigns on Facebook and Instagram

Monitor performance and report on KPIs to stakeholders

  • Organic Social Media Management: Write and schedule engaging posts with relevant visuals, maintain a content calendar aligned with key dates and initiatives, audit and update social media profiles using best practices

  • Support employer branding efforts to attract and retain talent

  • Email Marketing: collaborate on lead generation and nurturing email campaigns.

  • Website & Blog content: create and manage blog content with performance tracking, use CMS to update website pages, images, and blog posts

  • Performance Reporting: track and share results of social media efforts with the marketing team and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills

Post-secondary education in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing and/or social media

  • Strong understanding of online marketing strategies and channels

  • Proficient with Facebook/Meta Ads Manager

  • Skilled in content writing and creation

  • Excellent communication, organization, and attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Familiarity with design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an asset

  • Experience with Content Management Systems is a plus

  • Strong customer service skills and ability to collaborate across teams
