We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our team in the exciting powersports industry. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in identifying, locating, and purchasing the correct parts and accessories for motorcycles, ATVs, Side by Sides, personal watercraft, and other powersports vehicles. The ideal candidate will have a passion for powersports, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of parts management and inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Assist customers in person, over the phone, and via email with parts inquiries, ensuring accurate recommendations and exceptional service.
  • Provide detailed product knowledge and guidance on parts, accessories, and upgrades to enhance the customer's riding experience.
  • Develop relationships with customers by understanding their needs and recommending the best solutions.

Parts Identification and Sales:

  • Utilize parts catalogs, manufacturer systems, and internal databases to accurately identify and locate required parts.
  • Advise customers and service technicians on compatible parts, upgrades, and accessories based on vehicle specifications.
  • Upsell accessories and recommend complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and revenue.

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular stock checks.
  • Ensure parts and accessories are properly stocked, labeled, and organized in the warehouse and showroom.
  • Assist with receiving, stocking, and managing incoming shipments.

Order Processing and Fulfillment:

  • Process customer and service department parts orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Follow up on backorders and keep customers informed of order status and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate special orders and ensure timely delivery to meet customer expectations.

Service Department Support:

  • Work closely with the service department to ensure the correct parts are provided for scheduled repairs and maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with technicians to address any discrepancies or special requests.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of powersports vehicles, including motorcycles, ATVs, Side by Side's and personal watercraft.
  • Familiarity with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket parts.

Communication and Customer Service:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and rapport with customers and team members.

Sales and Upselling:

  • Ability to recommend additional products and accessories to enhance the customer's experience.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills to provide customized solutions.

Organizational and Time Management Skills:

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or similar role in the powersports, automotive, or related industry.
  • Experience using inventory management and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Certification or formal training in powersports, automotive technology, or a related field is a plus.

Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced retail and service environment.
  • Standing, walking, and lifting parts weighing up to 75 lbs may be required.
  • Occasional weekend or holiday shifts may be required based on business needs.
