Job Summary

Fast growing fabrication Company, Located in Abbotsford is looking for a detailed - oriented & highly reliable Shipper / Receiver that is eager to join our production team and help grow the company

The ideal candidate would fill our hybrid role of shipping / receiving while also supporting the production team with specific shop duties. The candidate will be responsible for loading and unloading material, yard organization, documentation, working with SAGE, being a highly valuable team player.

This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse / yard management, shipping & receiving procedures, and order preparation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments using information provided by the Project team & Purchasing team.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely for load and unload activities.
  • Manage stock levels, work with vendors & VMI processes.
  • Ensure proper packaging to prevent damage during transit and maintain quality standards
  • Support inventory control by conducting regular cycle counts and stock reconciliations
  • Follow safety protocols during all material handling activities to ensure a safe working environment
  • Support Production team with certain tasks, such as yard clean up, metal and wood removal.

Experience

  • Previous warehouse / yard experience is preferred, especially in shipping & receiving operations
  • Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, overhead crane and rigging.
  • Basic math skills for counting, measurements, and inventory calculations are required
  • Knowledge of packaging standards and order fulfillment procedures is beneficial
  • Ability to operate SAGE and basic computer / printing / scanning skills
  • Prior shipping / receiving history with a well developed company.
  • Familiar with metal fabrication industry
  • Clean driving record with a valid BC drivers license or equivalent
  • Reliable personal means of transportation
  • Very strong communication skills
