Work schedule: Tuesday to Saturday (8:30am – 5:00pm)

Rate: $25.25 / hr.

Velocity Truck Centre Canada, formally known as First Truck Centre, has an exciting opening for a Shipper / Receiver- Driver at our Abbotsford, BC branch. This role is responsible to maintain a clean and well-manicured warehouse and document inventory that both comes in and out of the branch.

Primary Job Functions

  • Shipping, receiving, documentation, and inventory of products incoming and outgoing from the warehouse.
  • Maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Participating in inventory counts.
  • Attend all training sessions to update technical knowledge.
  • Drive company vehicle to receive and deliver parts when required.
  • Proven record of following safety procedures, provincial/federal legislation, and company policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 years' experience in shipping / receiving.
  • Self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment.
  • Excellent Computer skills to maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, and other computer work that may be required.
  • Ability to work in a physical capacity, including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift.
  • Hold and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Excellent communications skills both verbally and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills ( with clients and vendors)
  • Forklift experience is an asset (training will be provided).
