Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organized Assistant Coordinator to join our team at Lee Wiggins Childcare Centre. In this key role, you will support the Coordinator in managing daily operations, ensuring smooth office administration, and maintaining a high-quality learning environment for children and families. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic setting, enjoys working with both children and administrative tasks, and takes pride in keeping operations running efficiently.
What You'll Do
- Support the Coordinator with day-to-day administrative and operational tasks.
- Assist with tuition management, including tracking payments and following up with families.
- Help prepare for audits and maintain accurate records in compliance with licensing and regulatory standards.
- Manage correspondence with families, staff, and external agencies.
- Assist in scheduling, coordinating events, and supporting classroom staff as needed.
- Contribute to creating a positive, organized, and welcoming environment for children, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Early Childhood Education, Office Administration, or related field is an asset.
- Experience in childcare or administrative roles preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills with families, staff, and external contacts.
- Comfortable with basic office software (Word, Excel, email, and database management).

Pay: $26.00-$29.00 per hour
