Position Overview:

We are seeking a Project Coordinator / Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to assist with project setup and support our estimating department. This hybrid role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, project documentation, and cost estimation in the commercial flooring industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing accurate quantity take-offs, material lists, and cost estimates.
  • Support project setup activities including documentation, scheduling, and coordination with clients and suppliers.
  • Analyze drawings, specifications, and tender documents to identify project requirements and risks.
  • Collaborate with the estimating and project management teams to ensure smooth transitions from bidding to execution.
  • Track project progress, update budgets, and maintain organized project records.
  • Prepare RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation as required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in estimating, project coordination, or quantity surveying (flooring or interior finishes experience preferred).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating software is an asset.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and communication abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.
